Davies Company History

Dawna's grandfather, Glenn Davies, was a California Real Estate Broker in Ventura County in the 1960s. Bill Davies, joined his father in business, and then he and Phyllis opened their own firm, The Davies Company, in 1971. Dawna's parents, both Cal Poly graduates, returned to San Luis Obispo in the mid-1970s as their community of choice to raise their family. Phyllis continued the property management division of their company. By that time, Bill had a national reputation as an innovator and pioneer in real estate consulting, real estate exchanging, single-agency brokerage, and customized financing approaches to helping people with properties.

Dawna joined the family firm, The Davies Company in the early 1990s as a Sales Associate; she became the Managing Broker in 1997. One can imagine the privilege it was for Bill to work under his daughter for five years until his retirement, with her as his Broker. Today, Dawna is the Broker and Owner of the business.
